SALES MANAGER (TECHNICAL SALES)


The position:

We are looking for a technical sales manager for our “Project & Retrofit” team. The level of activity is high and we are experiencing a high demand for after sales products, with regard to retrofit & upgrade products and environmentally friendly solutions for the existing fleet world-wide. You will be an important part of this team, which is included in our After Sales organisation within “PrimeServ Frederikshavn”. The After Sales department comprises 50 dedicated employees, and our main task is to render optimal service/ support to our customers in order to become their preferred business partner. We have customers world-wide and also cooperate with our own growing world-wide PrimeServ organisation

Work tasks:

·         Uncover the market and the customers’ needs in a dedicated area.
·         Cooperate with the existing sales team and our technical organisation (Design and Operation) in connection with sale of optimal solutions.
·         Guidance and promotion of retrofit & upgrade solutions/ offerings for marine propulsion engines, reduction gears, propeller systems and remote control systems.
·         Customer visits, follow-up and development of sale as well as participation in sales negotiations.
·         Preparation of quotations and sales of upgrade equipment for complete propulsion plants together with the team consisting of 10 dedicated colleagues.
·         Participate in preparation of promotion & marketing material for after sales products.
·         Approx. 35-50 travel days per year, divided between several trips.
·         You hold a bachelor education as marine engineer or have another relevant technical education.
·         You have flair for sales and have a service-minded approach to the work tasks and have personal authority to handle complex sale through all phases.
·         Commercial sales experience will be seen as an advantage, preferably from the marine business.
·         You are enterprising and result oriented, and you like to establish ambitious targets for yourself and others.
·         You are trustworthy, and a good listener, knowing how to put the customer’s needs in focus.
·         You have the ability to work independently as well as in teams.
·         You speak and write English at a high level and can manage yourself in an international organisation on several levels.
·         You hold a good sense of humour.
